Role Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Information Modeller with a strong background in banking data environments and expertise in conceptual and logical data modelling. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining enterprise data models that support the bank’s data strategy, ensuring alignment with architectural principles and regulatory frameworks.

You will collaborate closely with data architects, business analysts, and engineering teams to deliver well-structured, reusable, and scalable data models aligned with modular architecture and domain-driven design principles.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Design and maintain conceptual, logical, and physical data models to support business and analytical needs within the banking domain.
  2. Work closely with business stakeholders, data architects, and engineering teams to translate requirements into robust data models.
  3. Ensure data consistency, accuracy, and compliance across systems through standardized modelling practices.
  4. Develop and manage enterprise-wide data models, leveraging frameworks such as FSLDM (Financial Services Logical Data Model), BIAN, and BIRD.
  5. Promote data as a product and ensure alignment with modular and domain-based architecture principles.
  6. Support data warehousing initiatives and contribute to metadata and data governance activities.
  7. Use Erwin Data Modeler (or equivalent tools) to document and manage model versions, relationships, and data definitions.
  8. Contribute to defining and evolving data standards, guidelines, and best practices for modelling and integration across systems.

Required Skills & Experience:

  1. Minimum 7 years of experience in data modelling and data architecture, preferably within banking or financial services.
  2. Strong knowledge of conceptual and logical data modelling and experience designing for large-scale, regulated data environments.
  3. Proven experience with data warehousing concepts and enterprise data models such as FSLDM, BIAN, and BIRD.
  4. Expertise in Erwin Data Modeler or similar tools (e.g., PowerDesigner, ER/Studio).
  5. Deep understanding of modular data architecture, domain-driven data design, and data as a product concepts.
  6. Familiarity with data governance, lineage, and metadata management.
  7. Excellent analytical, communication, and documentation skills.
  8. Experience collaborating in Agile or SAFe environments is a plus.

Nice to Have:

  1. Exposure to cloud-based data platforms (e.g., Azure, AWS, GCP).
  2. Understanding of data integration and ETL processes.
  3. Knowledge of banking products and regulatory reporting frameworks.
