Network & Firewall Engineer (Data Center & Cloud Migration)

About the Role:

We are seeking hands-on Network & Firewall Engineers to support a large-scale Data Center and Cloud Migration. You will be responsible for opening/closing firewalls, troubleshooting issues, and optimizing workflows to ensure a smooth transition.

This is a technical, operational role, ideal for engineers who have deep experience in firewall rule management and troubleshooting, particularly with Checkpoint, Palo Alto, and F5 load balancers. Familiarity with Guardicore is a plus.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Manage and implement firewall rule changes (opening/closing ports, policy updates).
2. Troubleshoot firewall and network-related issues during server/application migrations.
3. Monitor firewall traffic and identify configuration or access issues.
4. Support the migration of servers, clusters, and appliances (optional but beneficial).
5. Collaborate with cloud, infrastructure, and security teams.
6. Identify opportunities to optimize network and security operations during migration.

Technical Skills & Experience Required:

Strong hands-on experience with:

1. Checkpoint firewalls (policy management, troubleshooting)
2. Palo Alto firewalls (rule creation, monitoring)
3. F5 Load Balancers (troubleshooting, basic configuration)

Familiar with:

1. General network troubleshooting
2. Working in data center and cloud migration environments
3. Managing network security in complex enterprise environments

Bonus / Nice to Have:

1. Guardicore (or similar microsegmentation tools) – training will be provided
2. Experience with server/cluster migration projects
3. Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP – not required)

Certifications (Preferred):

1. CCNA / CCNP
2. Checkpoint CCSA / CCSE
3. Palo Alto PCNSE / PCNSA
4. F5 certifications
5. Guardicore training/certifications (optional)
