Job Title: Senior SAP FS-PM Functional Design Consultant

Location: Stockholm / Europe

Reports To: SAP Program Manager / Solution Architect


Role Overview:

We are seeking an experienced SAP FS-PM Functional Designer Consultant to lead the design, implementation, and optimization of SAP Policy Management (FS-PM) solutions. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in the SAP FS-PM module, strong understanding of insurance business processes (especially in Life and P&C), and a proven track record of designing robust, scalable functional solutions aligned with business objectives.


Key Responsibilities:

  1. Functional Design Leadership
  2. Analyze and translate business requirements into functional specifications.
  3. Create end-to-end functional designs for policy management, policy issuance, endorsements, renewals, cancellations, and reinstatements.
  4. Own the FS-PM blueprint and solution architecture in alignment with SAP best practices and enterprise architecture.
  5. Develop custom solution designs leveraging FS-PM framework, business rules, and policy product modeling.
  6. Client Engagement & Advisory
  7. Collaborate with business stakeholders, underwriting, and product teams to gather and validate requirements.
  8. Advise clients on SAP FS-PM capabilities, constraints, and enhancements.
  9. Conduct functional workshops, prepare design documents, and present solutions to executive stakeholders.
  10. Implementation & Delivery
  11. Lead FS-PM configuration activities (policy templates, product modeling, event-controlled processes, etc.).
  12. Drive integration design with FS-CD, FS-CM, FS-RI, and other SAP/Non-SAP modules.
  13. Perform defect triaging, root cause analysis, and functional resolution during testing phases.
  14. Support go-live and post-go-live hypercare activities.
  15. Documentation & Quality Assurance
  16. Prepare high-quality functional design documents (FDDs), interface specs, test cases, and user guides.
  17. Ensure adherence to documentation standards and SAP Activate/Agile methodologies.
  18. Perform peer reviews and contribute to solution assurance and QA processes.


Required Skills and Experience:

  1. Core FS-PM Expertise:
  2. 8+ years of hands-on experience with SAP FS-PM.
  3. Strong understanding of policy lifecycle management and FS-PM product architecture.
  4. Experience in modeling insurance products, policyholder data, and rule-based processing.
  5. SAP Ecosystem:
  6. Good knowledge of related SAP modules such as FS-CD (Collections & Disbursements), FS-CM (Claims), FS-RI (Reinsurance), and SAP BP.
  7. Integration experience with SAP S/4HANA and Web Services (SAP PI/PO, CPI).
  8. Functional Design and Delivery:
  9. Proven experience delivering complex functional solutions and handling multiple FS-PM projects end-to-end.
  10. Ability to design solutions for new products or re-platforming/migration initiatives.
  11. Business Acumen:
  12. In-depth knowledge of the insurance domain (Life, Health, or P&C).
  13. Ability to interact with non-technical stakeholders and align IT solutions with business goals.


Preferred Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
  2. SAP FS-PM certification (optional but preferred).
  3. Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
  4. Knowledge of Fiori, BRF+, and SAP Business Workflow is a plus.
