Senior Python Engineer - Backend

We are seeking a Senior Python Engineer with 6 to 9 years of experience in Python, SQL, Data Engineering, and REST API development. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in data processing, analysis, and engineering, with expertise in NumPy, Pandas, and SQL Server. This is a hands-on role that requires collaboration with product owners, scrum masters, and developers to deliver high-quality solutions.

Key Responsibilities

1. Design, develop, and optimize data engineering solutions using Python, Pandas, NumPy, and SQL Server.
2. Write efficient, scalable, and well-structured Python code, demonstrating a strong understanding of data structures.
3. Perform data cleanup, transformation, and summarization using NumPy/Pandas.
4. Develop and maintain REST APIs for data processing and integration.
5. Collaborate with product owners and scrum teams for sprint planning, estimation, and demos.
6. Lead and mentor junior developers, providing technical guidance as needed.
7. Troubleshoot and resolve complex data engineering challenges using analytical and problem-solving skills.
8. Investigate non-standard requests and issues, ensuring robust solutions.
9. Work with cloud platforms (Azure preferred) for data processing and storage.

Required Skills & Experience

1. 6 to 9 years of hands-on experience in Python development.
2. Strong understanding of data structures and proficiency in writing efficient Python code.
3. Expertise in NumPy and Pandas for data analysis and processing.
4. Strong SQL Server experience, including writing and optimizing complex SQL queries.
5. Proven experience in REST API development.
6. Experience with data engineering and analysis in large-scale environments.
7. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
8. Ability to work independently and collaborate in an Agile/Scrum team.
9. Experience with cloud platforms (Azure preferred) is a plus.

Note: HYBRID (min 3 days per week in office) role requirement.
