We are looking for a Senior Snowflake Engineer with 6+ years of experience in data engineering, SQL development, and Snowflake ecosystem, including Snowpark and DBT. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in migrating data solutions from SAP HANA to Snowflake, ensuring a seamless transition while optimizing performance, scalability, and maintainability.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Lead the migration of SAP HANA-based solutions to Snowflake, ensuring minimal disruption and high data integrity.
  2. Design and implement Snowflake-based data architectures, optimizing for performance and scalability.
  3. Develop and optimize complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and data transformations within Snowflake.
  4. Utilize Snowpark for scalable data processing and transformations.
  5. Implement DBT (Data Build Tool) models for data pipeline automation and orchestration.
  6. Ensure efficient data integration across enterprise systems, including SAP HANA, Snowflake, and other cloud-based data platforms.
  7. Apply data warehousing best practices and enforce governance, security, and performance tuning in Snowflake.
  8. Collaborate with data engineers, analysts, and business stakeholders to define data solutions aligned with business goals.
  9. Troubleshoot and resolve data pipeline and performance issues during and after migration.
  10. Stay updated with Snowflake advancements and recommend optimizations for data processing and reporting.

Required Skills & Experience

  1. 6+ years of experience in data engineering and SQL development.
  2. Strong expertise in Snowflake architecture, Snowflake SQL, and performance tuning.
  3. Experience with Snowpark for scalable data transformations.
  4. Hands-on experience with DBT (Data Build Tool) for data modeling and orchestration.
  5. Strong knowledge of SAP HANA to Snowflake migration strategies and best practices.
  6. Experience in data integration across SAP and Snowflake environments.
  7. Deep understanding of data warehousing concepts, ELT/ETL processes, and cloud data architecture.
  8. Knowledge of data governance, security, and performance optimization in Snowflake.
  9. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work in a fast-paced, cloud-based environment.
  10. Excellent communication skills to interact with business and technical teams.
