We are looking for a highly experienced SAP Archiving Architect with expertise in SAP ILM (Information Lifecycle Management), SAP Data Archiving, Security Operations Center (SOC), and Enhanced Security Operations Center (eSOC) integration. The ideal candidate will have deep knowledge of SAP ILM, GDPR compliance, data retention, system decommissioning, and cybersecurity best practices. This role requires a hands-on professional who can design and implement SAP archiving solutions while ensuring security, compliance, and data governance in alignment with SOC and eSOC frameworks.

Key Responsibilities:

SAP Archiving & ILM:

  1. Design, implement, and manage SAP Archiving and ILM strategies to optimize system performance and ensure regulatory compliance.
  2. Develop and execute data archiving processes for SAP ECC, S/4HANA, BW, and other SAP landscapes to reduce data footprint and improve system efficiency.
  3. Define and implement data retention, residence time, and legal hold policies in accordance with GDPR, SOC 2, ISO 27001, NIST, and industry regulations.
  4. Collaborate with business and compliance teams to define SAP ILM strategies for structured and unstructured data across SAP and non-SAP systems.
  5. Drive SAP system decommissioning projects, ensuring secure data access and compliance requirements are met.
  6. Implement best practices for SAP ILM automation and workflow management for better efficiency.

SOC & eSOC Security Compliance:

  1. Implement SOC and eSOC compliance strategies for SAP environments, ensuring adherence to industry security frameworks and best practices.
  2. Work closely with Security Operations Center (SOC) and Enhanced Security Operations Center (eSOC) teams to monitor, detect, and respond to security threats within SAP systems.
  3. Define security policies for SAP archived data, including encryption, access controls, and logging mechanisms.
  4. Conduct risk assessments, security audits, and penetration testing for SAP ILM and archiving solutions.
  5. Implement anonymization, pseudonymization, and masking techniques to protect sensitive archived data.
  6. Integrate SAP archiving solutions with SIEM (Security Information and Event Management) tools for enhanced monitoring.
  7. Establish incident response and remediation procedures related to SAP ILM and archived data breaches.

SAP Technical Expertise:

  1. Expertise in SAP ILM, ADK (Archive Development Kit), SARA, ArchiveLink, and OpenText archiving solutions.
  2. Provide technical guidance on SAP storage solutions, including SAP Content Server, OpenText, PBS, IBM FileNet, and Hitachi.
  3. Work with SAP Basis teams to manage archiving jobs, performance optimization, and system tuning.
  4. Support SAP S/4HANA migration projects by implementing SAP ILM for data retention, compliance, and security.
  5. Troubleshoot and resolve archiving-related performance issues and system bottlenecks.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  1. 10+ years of experience in SAP Archiving, ILM, and Security.
  2. Deep expertise in SAP ILM, GDPR, SOC, eSOC, and data protection laws.
  3. Hands-on experience with SAP ILM, ADK, SARA, and ArchiveLink for data archiving and retention management.
  4. Strong knowledge of SOC and eSOC frameworks, including compliance with ISO 27001, NIST, GDPR, and SOC 2.
  5. Experience working with Security Operations Centers (SOC) and SIEM solutions to ensure secure data archiving.
  6. Understanding of SAP Basis, HANA DB, and performance tuning for archiving solutions.
  7. Experience in automating SAP ILM processes using scripting or third-party tools.
  8. Strong expertise in storage and content management solutions (e.g., OpenText, AWS S3, IBM FileNet).
  9. Experience with SAP system decommissioning and legacy system retirement strategies.
  10. Ability to work with cross-functional teams, security professionals, and business stakeholders to ensure compliance and operational efficiency.
  11. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently on complex security and archiving projects.

Preferred Qualifications:

  1. Experience with SAP S/4HANA and BW/4HANA archiving and ILM.
  2. Knowledge of SAP Cloud-based archiving solutions.
  3. Experience integrating SAP ILM with SIEM and security monitoring tools.
  4. SAP certifications in ILM, Security, or Basis are a plus.
  5. Experience in machine learning and AI-driven security analytics for eSOC environments.
